Accessibility Statement
Marisolio Tasting Bar is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We are continually working to improve the accessibility and usability of our website and to apply recognized accessibility standards and best practices.
This accessibility statement applies to https://marisolio.com.
Conformance status
Marisolio Tasting Bar aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
The Marisolio website is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard.
A substantial accessibility remediation effort has been completed across the website. Remaining known accessibility issues are described below.
Accessibility measures
Marisolio Tasting Bar has taken measures to improve the accessibility of its website and to support accessibility as part of ongoing website maintenance.
Accessibility improvements have included:
- improving heading structure and semantic organization;
- adding or correcting alternative text for images;
- improving color contrast for text, buttons, navigation elements, and other interface components;
- improving form labels and form structure;
- improving the accessibility of WooCommerce shopping cart and checkout components;
- providing accessible names for controls and links where needed;
- improving keyboard focus visibility;
- correcting accessibility issues involving links, headings, and interactive controls; and
- reviewing website content and functionality using automated and manual accessibility testing.
Website content practices also include consideration of alternative text, heading structure, color contrast, and accessibility when new or updated content is published.
Testing and assessment
The website has been evaluated using a combination of automated and manual accessibility testing.
Testing and remediation have included the WAVE Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool, post-remediation rescanning, manual keyboard navigation, review of logical tab order and visible keyboard focus, browser zoom and content-scaling testing, and review of forms and interactive elements.
The site’s ecommerce experience, including the WooCommerce shopping cart and checkout pages, has also been reviewed and remediated for identified accessibility issues.
This work represents a point-in-time accessibility review and remediation effort. Automated testing cannot identify every accessibility barrier, and the website has not been formally certified as conforming to WCAG.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts to make the website accessible, some limitations remain.
Recipe images: Some older recipe featured images may not yet contain appropriate alternative text. These images are being reviewed and updated as part of ongoing accessibility work.
We welcome feedback if you encounter any other accessibility barrier that is not listed here.
Because this is a known issue and the site is being described as partially conformant, I recommend keeping this disclosure in the statement for now. Once your client finishes the remaining recipe alt text and you verify it, we can remove this limitation and reassess whether it is appropriate to change the statement to fully conformant. I would not claim full conformance solely on the basis of WAVE results, however; we should review the overall evidence at that point.
Third-party services
Some functionality on the Marisolio website is provided by third-party services whose underlying accessibility is not fully controlled by Marisolio Tasting Bar.
Payment processing is provided through PayPal, including PayPal, Venmo, and credit or debit card payment options. Certain payment interface components may be supplied or rendered by PayPal as part of the checkout process. Marisolio has reviewed and remediated the portions of the WooCommerce cart and checkout experience that are under its direct control.
The website also uses Google reCAPTCHA and an embedded Google Map, both of which are provided and maintained by Google.
While Marisolio strives to select and integrate third-party services in an accessible manner, the accessibility of interfaces and content controlled by those providers may depend on the third-party service.
Technical information
Accessibility of the Marisolio website relies on web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and supporting technologies used by WordPress, WooCommerce, and installed website components.
The website is intended to work with current web browsers and technologies that support established web standards. Accessibility and functionality may vary depending on the particular combination of browser, operating system, device, assistive technology, and third-party services being used.
Because screen-reader testing has not been performed, I intentionally would not name NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack, or claim compatibility with specific assistive technologies.
Ecommerce and payment accessibility
Marisolio’s shopping experience is powered by WooCommerce. Accessibility review and remediation have included product pages, quantity controls, the shopping cart, form labels, checkout heading structure, shipping methods, and payment-method grouping.
Payment processing functionality provided by PayPal is externally controlled and may change independently of the Marisolio website.

Ongoing accessibility
Accessibility is an ongoing process. Website content, ecommerce functionality, plugins, and third-party services may change over time. Marisolio Tasting Bar intends to continue considering accessibility when website content and functionality are added or updated and to address identified accessibility barriers where reasonably possible.
