Anet Reclusado, another of our very popular returning chefs, will be teaching this class. Anet was born and raised in Modesto, CA in an ethnically diverse home. She learned Filipino cooking from her father, a native of the Philippines, and Mexican cooking from her Mexican aunt. She currently teaches cooking for the Modesto Junior College Community Classes where there is always a waiting list. In 2013 she and her husband, Manny, also started a business selling food at the various nearby Farmers’ Markets. They sell Mexican style roasted corn, 7 different flavors of tamales, corn chowder, stuffed peppers with corn and corn casserole. Her tamales have been a crowd pleaser at the Galt Flea Market Cooking is a joy they love to share with their customers.
Join Anet and Manny on a trip south of the border! Participants will learn how to make homemade enchilada sauce, both red and green, and sample an authentic cheese enchilada with red sauce and a chicken enchilada with green sauce.
