American Southern Mustard BBQ Sauce

  • 3/4 cup yellow mustard
  • 3/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon light brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1-1/2 Tablespoons Butter Olive Oil
  • 1-1/4 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Louisiana hot sauce (to taste)


  • Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan. Whisk until combined. Simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Cool. Use as you wish. This is especially good on pulled or chopped pork.
  • Save any unused sauce in a sealed container for future use.
