  • 2 large garlic cloves
  • 1-1/2 avocados
  • 2 cups fresh basil
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds (shelled)
  • 1/2 cup any Ultra Premium Manzanillo or Arbosana Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste


  • Put all ingredients in a food processor and pulse until smooth.
  • Use as you would any other pesto (over pasta, with cooked vegetables, as a dip for tortilla chips or as a spread for sandwiches). If you will serve it with pasta, consider adding chopped red bell pepper to the mixture.
